At Waukegan Community Church, the T.H.R.I.V.E. Ministry is designed for both Christian married couples and singles who desire deeper, healthier, and more meaningful relationships rooted in faith.

Whether you’re strengthening a marriage, preparing for one, or simply growing in your walk with Christ, T.H.R.I.V.E. creates a welcoming space where relationships are nurtured, lives are enriched, and community is built with purpose.

T – Trust: The Foundation of Every Relationship

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” – Proverbs 3:5

Trust is the foundation upon which every strong relationship is built. In T.H.R.I.V.E., we focus on developing trust through honesty, dependability, and faithfulness—both in our relationship with God and with one another.

When trust is present, relationships grow stronger, communication becomes clearer, and love becomes more secure.

H – Honor: Valuing One Another in Every Season

“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” – Romans 12:10

Honor means choosing to value others—even when it’s not easy. It’s about showing love, patience, and humility in every interaction.

In this ministry, we learn how to honor one another through our actions, words, and attitudes, creating relationships that reflect Christ’s love.

R – Respect: Love in Action

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up.” – Ephesians 4:29

Respect is how love shows up daily. It’s reflected in the way we listen, communicate, and respond to one another.

T.H.R.I.V.E. teaches practical ways to build each other up, creating relationships that are safe, uplifting, and rooted in grace.

I – Integrity: Living Truthfully and Faithfully

“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely.” – Proverbs 10:9

Integrity is doing what is right—even when no one is watching. It’s about keeping your word, being honest, and living authentically.

Through T.H.R.I.V.E., we encourage individuals and couples to build relationships grounded in truth, trustworthiness, and spiritual maturity.

V – Virtue: Pursuing a Life of Excellence

E – Encourage: Speaking Life Into One Another
