Waukegan Community Church, also known as WCC, is a Christ-centered church in Waukegan, IL, where people are welcomed, faith is strengthened, and community is built through God’s love. Waukegan Community Church is a place where everyone is invited to experience the love of Jesus, grow in faith, and live with purpose. We are a Christ-centered, Bible-based community committed to loving God, loving people, and serving our city and beyond.
At WCC, we believe in the transforming power of the Gospel and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives today. Our faith is rooted in Scripture, grounded in grace, and expressed through worship, prayer, discipleship, and service. We value authentic relationships, spiritual growth, and walking together as we follow Jesus.

Our Story
Dr. Fred Obleton and First Lady Michelle Obleton share a calling to serve God’s people with faith, compassion, and purpose. Their ministry is rooted in a deep commitment to Jesus Christ, the local church, and helping individuals and families grow spiritually.
As Senior Pastor of Waukegan Community Church, Dr. Obleton leads with biblical integrity, wisdom, and a passion for teaching God’s Word in practical and transformational ways. First Lady Michelle Obleton serves faithfully alongside him, providing leadership and spiritual guidance through WINGS Women’s Ministry, empowering women to grow in faith and purpose.
Together, they are committed to building a church that reflects God’s love, embraces diversity, and serves the Waukegan community with intention and hope.
