What We Believe
Rooted in Scripture. Centered on Jesus. Lived out in Community.
Mission
Our mission is simple and guides everything we do:
To love God. Love people. Serve our community.

To love God
Matthew 22:37 (NIV) "Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind."

Love People
Matthew 22:39 (NIV) "And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself."

Serve Our Community
Matthew 5:16 (NIV) "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Our Vision
Our vision is to see lives transformed through a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and to see our community strengthened by faith, compassion, and unity. We envision Waukegan Community Church as a thriving, Christ-centered church where people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds are welcomed, valued, and equipped to live out their faith with purpose.
We desire to be a church that nurtures spiritual growth, builds strong families, and creates meaningful connections across generations. Through authentic worship, biblical teaching, and a commitment to service, we aim to raise up believers who reflect God’s love in their homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods. As we love God, love people, and serve our community, our vision is to bring lasting hope, healing, and positive change to Waukegan and beyond.
