STAYING TRUE TO YOU…when the world’s definition of beauty is misguided.
How do you feel about yourself when you look in the mirror? Do you like what you see? Do you take the time admire and appreciate all that you see before you?
I Corinthians 13:4-7 NKJV
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you to thank you for all you have done and continue to do in our lives and marriage. Sanctify us by your truth and your word.
Help us to never lie to one another. Help us to come clean if we mess up or make a mistake that can affect our marriage. No matter how embarrassed or bad we may feel or the situation may be. Give us the ability to be completely transparent with one another regardless of how we feel.
Give us the strength to honor you through our bodies as they are the temple of the Lord our Heavenly Father. Give us the wisdom to continuously build a healthy spiritual life and marriage with you at the center of our hearts and soul.
Help me to be a better communicator, help me to love my [husband/wife] better, and help us both to grow closer to you and to each other.
Give us the strength to be brave. Replace the fear of what might happen and what the future might hold with Christ-centered strength and courage.
Through the Holy Spirit of God, empower us with patience, gentleness, humility, unity, and peace. We ask for forgiveness for the times we lose our tempers and our sanity towards our spouse.
We are thankful and humbled for your grace and are excited to witness your continued work in us as we continue to work within our selves. We will continue to do the work daily to meditate and pray in your grace. Gracious Lord, we love you and thank you for all of these things.
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen!
Thank You For Reading!
I hope you found this blog helpful & Inspiratonal. I am married to a remarkable Pastor, so I am honored to participate in ministry alongside him. My greatest contribution to my hubby is my commitment to pray and support him as he leads God’s church and to empower the women of WCC through WINGS and now through blogging.
1 John 4:16 (New International Version)
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
